Karl Lansing

Karl, a self–taught artist, has been creating art in the form of bronze sculpture for over 25 years. He enjoys sharing the great outdoors he calls home through his talents. His bright and spacious studio is nestled in the southeast corner of British Columbia, where he was born and raised. He enjoys the process of creating a new piece, from the initial inception through to the final details that make his work so unique. He strives to create works of art that captivate the viewer's attention.

When you look at a Karl Lansing piece of art and feel the life in the eyes, hear the elk's bugle, or smell the earth around you, Karl feels his work is done.

Karl is an avid outdoorsman, sports enthusiast, and family man. Sculpting has become a natural extension for him to portray the impact that wilderness and wildlife have in his life. He thoroughly enjoys the challenging and ever-changing career that he has chosen.

Karl has been a taxidermist since the age of 12 and has therefore studied animals inside and out. This knowledge and ability give him the extra expertise to create detailed sculptures. He has also worked as a guide outfitter off and on for 35 years. These walks of life combined give him a constant saturation of wildlife surrounding him.
