Jenny J. Foster's style reflects her happy childhood growing up along the Colorado River in Arizona, surrounded by ancient petroglyphs, pottery shards, and relics. These simple and strong designs and symbols from the past have unconsciously found their way into her paintings and sculptures.

Foster's work is characterized by bold and contemporary abstract forms, slathered with layers of color and deep textures, and celebrates colors, creatures, and the spirit of life. She aims to create pieces that speak to the heart immediately and stir strong emotional reactions. Her style is described as purposely reckless, primitive yet contemporary, gentle yet strong, bold yet sweet, powerful, joyful, and refreshing. She likes the "purposely reckless" description the best. Her goal is to create personality and expression while keeping it simple and adding only a little detail.
