Martin Lambuth

Martin Lambuth's paintings are not just about the subject matter of vintage trucks and trains but also about nostalgia, history, and the stories they evoke in the viewers. Although these vehicles may be lost in time or forgotten, they can still transport one to memories of grandpa's farm, bumpy country roads in dad's pickup, or rail rides through the past.

Martin has a unique painting technique, using credit cards instead of brushes or palette knives. This lends itself to creating weather-influenced finishes, such as exposure, rust, and oxidation. His paintings appear realistic from a distance, but up close, one can see the abstraction and interplay of loose textures buried in layers of rich color.

Martin is an award-winning artist who has been juried into various local, regional, and national art shows in Colorado, Wyoming, Arizona, Texas, Montana, and Idaho. In addition, his work can be found in permanent corporate collections such as JAMS Denver, Cheyenne Depot Museum, The Children's Hospital in Denver, and Parker, and it was also selected as the anchor piece for the Kaiser Permanente medical center in Castle Rock, Colorado.
